Re: Inchannel or no for 05-06 d-cabs??
weather tech are the best, in my opinion. they are in channel.
they are crystal clear tint. not that foggy type nor, tape on the out side.
if you are a washing your truck alot, and a nutty when it comes to crystal clear windows, it is possible you will dislodge the tape.
and now you either have to run out and buy new 3m tape and redo it.
or buy a whole new set.
weather tech are really quality made. there is a huge difference in the products out there, nothing comes close to the quality of weather tech. they are thick.
other types, dry out and crack.
weather tech won't brake like the tape on thin 1's.
but there cost is double. you get what you pay for here.
also they are hard to install the front's. because they go deep into the door.
you think they aren't the right 1's but they are.
i suggest you tape off the black rubber on the window bottom ,so it won't rip tear, etc when installing.
if you have a friend that has done this before have them do it or help you.
or pay for a professional to do it. otherwise it can cause a little damage.
but they have no wind noise that i notice, and they look great.
look at a picture of my truck in the forum jump under regional and state clubs southeast
look for south florida meet. find the white double cab with the darrell waltrip graphics.
you can see them on the truck. they are slim line.
not those 1's that stick way out.
i know of 2 people how had the stick on, and when on the highway the noise level with the window open was so bad, they took them off.
it's your truck & your choise.
good luck.
they are great in the rain to, you can crack the window. i guess just like the other types, except there is no noise with weather tech's, again at least in my truck.
hope you buy & get whatever you want, and they work out for you. good luck
