I know we don't live in the same place, but where did you get yours installed (Major retail store)? I went to a local car audio / security shop, and the guy quoted me something like $800-$900 for it. I think he listed off 5-7 additional charges.... had to diode each door... parking light flash... factory alarm bypass... immobilizer... he just kept listing charges.

That was for the Clifford model which is basically the same thing. They had the alarm listed for $499, which included basic install.
