Re: How to correctly detail your auto
Ok, just ran through the process again this last weekend. truck looks wonderfully wet and slick once again!
i've been out of the loop here for a while, but was killing some time at work today and noticed some people adding a step to the process.
in the original, the duragloss #105 appeared to me to be the last step, and that's where i ended it (aside from wheels, etc. i'm talking paint here). a few others have stated they added another wax after the sealant, such as the DP MAXX wax.
is this now the recommended method, and i just missed it? or is it something for a little bit extra? honestly, i'm not sure what else it could do- i last did brandon's whole process a year ago, and it was still holding up really well. i do aquawax after every wash though, so i'm sure that helps.
thanks for any tips! i'm about to order a guzzler after reading about it here- i've been meaning to grab another meguiar's water magnet anyway, since mine always seems to be soaked by the time i get to the last quarter panel- so another product on the order won't hurt, if it's needed.
