Default Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He

Hello All,

I purchased my 1st generation Tundra new in June '05. Mine is a Phantom Gray SR5, 4X2, 4.7L V8 extended cab. I only have 25k miles on it now, my daily work commute is 5 miles each way. I added a 3 chamber FlowMaster dual exhaust along with my HF and VHF ham radio gear shortly after purchase. I have kept track of every tank of gas on a spreadsheet, the best tank being 20.8 and the worst being 13.6, I found our early that my right foot greatly influences the MPG. Between the great power and the FlowMaster sound, that has been hard to do. The only dislike I have is I wish mine had bucket seats. I tow a lightweight aluminum Bass Tracker Bass boat, so the V6 would have worked, which came with bucket seats standard in '05. But after reading a few postings on this forum, it appears that the V6 gets about the same MPG as my V8 does, go figure.

73,
Bill
