Working on purchasing my Tundra. Your help would be appreciated!
Hey everyone,
I know this is a totally boring topic/ post, but I need your help. Please help...
I am still doing my research while I am trying to sell my F250, and I talked to an internet sales person today that told me that the 15% off of MSRP that I was asking for was $2,000 under her invoice. Can anyone give their input as to if this is true?
Here's the deal.
Truck MSRP is $36,000. I have read in forums about other people getting 18-20% off of MSRP. (I don't know if they got the 0% financing also, and I know this would be a big factor) but I told her that I would also want the 0% financing.
She said that 15% is $2,000 over her invoice, and this was undoable with the 0%!
I guess the main question is, can I trust an internet sales person when they send me a cut/ paste of the truck's pricing (including their invoice prices)? Or can this be easly (and often) altered to trick someone into thinking that their cost is much more than it really is?
She says her invoice for this truck is almost $33K.
Secondary question is: Does that sound right that a dealer's price (invoice) for a $36K truck is $33K?
It is tough to stand up for the 15% and 0% financing that I want with her ammo, and I was just looking for some input as to if what she is telling me (and sending me) is legit, or if I should stick to my guns.. Sorry, I can't remember the price that she ended up quoting me (I remember she said $250 over her invoice), but my main concern is whether I should trust her on HER pricing/ cost? HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SHE SAYS IS HER COST IS REALLY HER COST!!??
Again, any help is much appreciated!
