All "the sky is falling" prophecies. If you TRULY can't afford to drive it, then get rid of it. If you can afford it, then I would keep it, since you will be unhappy driving something smaller to save on gas. It's not the oil companies, it's not Bush (and yes I'm republican, and no I don't really agree with most of what Bush has done, but let's not just start throwing blame here). It's a combination of our weakening dollar, demand, and the OIL PRODUCING COUNTRIES.

If you want to blame politicians, blame them for really not supporting drilling off the coast of Florida and Anwr, and although they're only temporary solutions, they would at least alleviate our dependence for the short term, and lower the prices until a suitable long term alternative could be developed.
