Default Re: Replaced Head Gasket - still leaks -ideas?

The head job was done improperly. Maybe a great mechanic in the past... but he had a bad day on this head job. It happens.

The head should have been checked for deck and plane, or needed more than just a gasket. Or your leak was elswhere or in more than one place. Or just a bad gasket job?

Your mechanic gave up on yu and rather split the $difference$.
Check what your HL is worth on KBB.com.
Seems like yu got your moneys worth on this HL and it is time to get another.
Maybe that's the inherent message by your mechanic when reading between the lines.

Remember...anything can be fixed. But is it $worth$ it at some point?

Your call in the end. No one elses...it's not your mechanics decision either.

Get a second mechanics opinion if yu are not sure.
