Has to be the best little engine ever IMO. I sold one two years ago that had over 300K and the guy is still driving it. Not sure how many miles now since the speedo broke.
My lil brother has a 95 with 298K hard hard miles on it and still runs like a champ. Original engine, tranny, rear end. It's lucky to see an oil change every 7k miles.
 As far as mods I regret. Changing the exhaust to begin with. I finally went back to the factory exhaust. I'm just too old for noise anymore. IMHO the truck did not pull as well at low rpms with the aftermarket exhaust.
