I just did mine yesterday. They look so much better this way. With my luck they'll fog up, so I ended up sealing them up a little more.

I used a flavor injector that has a long, fine tip on it and filled it up with some clear drying sealant. I used that and filled all the gaps around the edge of the lights... just in case. I didn't want to take them apart again. It was probably over kill.
