Default Re: Help! My paint is chipping on my FJ?!?

The nature of this beast. Road chips just happen. Get yourself a $6 bottle of OE Toyota Touch up paint...Just bring the color code # to your dealers parts dept.. Or the chips will just rust out down the road at some point. The windshield seems to be a Flawed design in materials if yu ask me. Many FJ owners have vented on this . Google it.

Since the winshield is very much vertical and, due to the Drag coef. design of this body style, Toyota should have created a Harder and more appropriate glass. Period. Not a hard fix, but Toyota would only update this on a later gen FJ.
FYI,I would check into other aftermarket brands of windshields. Some FJ owners having been through several windshields already have discovered some better grades of Non-Toyota brand glass after their glass coverage would not completely reimburse for OE winshields after several claims were made in a short term.
Try one of those ugly looking Bug Deflectors. Some say they reduced the chances of chipped glass.
Yu are not alone.
