Default Re: Aries Nerf Bars on an 08 CM Tundra

Well, I have a resolution, and I have come to the conclusion that Aries sucks! I started by calling the company & a representative stated, "Our directions suck!" and he referred me to a manager. I tried reaching the manager for several days. I left several voicemail messages with my home number, cell phone number, and email address, all to no avail. I finally emailed the company office with photos attached begging for help. I was finally able to reach the manager, who apologized profusely, and assured me that a new set of bars was being sent right out to me. As I spoke to him & told him about the difficulty that the shop had mounting them, and then told him that they were only able to mount them using 2 of the 3 holes (reinforcing my belief that I received the wrong brackets) I was told that, "That should be enough to hold them in place, but I will send you another set of brackets anyhow." I was also told that I would be sent pictures & updated directions showing the mount on a Tundra. I waited a week and a half, but nothing arrived - bars, photos, or directions. I called, and found out that the manager never did anything to process the order. He assured me that it would all be handled that day. Again, I called the next day, and nothing had happened. I finally called Autoanything & they got involved to resolve the mess. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything that Aries makes again. The product was damaged due to poor packaging, the follow through from management was horrible, and the overall product was subpar - stripped threads, loose caps, and holes that didn't align. The only positive characteristic was the price. But then again, sometimes you get what you pay for. The only thing that I did learn from this experience is that I will deal with Autoanything again. They stood behind a bad product, and a bad supplier. They were actually a pleasure to deal with, even through a very frustrating experience.
