1st post here, seems like a great site for Toyota owners. Have 187K on my 97 4wd 5spd.T100, still runs great; bought it used in 97, had 15k on it. Only complaints are the noise (popping, squawking) when the wheel is turned to the stops (right or left), and the brakes. Front brakes have always felt a bit on the weak side, and have a shimmy as though the rotors are slightly warped. One other issue of note: Leaking valve covers. Have noticed the bolts seemed to have backed out, allowing oil to leak onto the manifold and starter (caused some problems with the starter, but was able to clean/fix it). Carries a few minor dings and scars, I call it character
Don't know what most people get, but have found I can get 20 mpg if I drive careful, and have managed 21. Have always thought this was pretty decent for a mid-sized, 4wd truck.
