Default Re: 09 Corolla S Breaks

I drove an 09 Corolla XLE (1.8 with rear drums) It had 1 mile on it!! when the dealer got. It went from Cambridge Canada to Freight. I have since driven the same with 65 miles on it. The brakes still feel fine.

But they usually get better and harder/firmer. after a 100-300 mile break-in.

BTW...I would drive to a safe area and do three-four moderate to firm stops from approx.20 mph while in reverse... this will adjust the the rear drum brakes by reducing the slack travel of the shoes. Yu should notice a bit higher pedal with less travel. Don't stomp and screach the tires though.
