No, this won't work. When the speed pulse is missing or corrupt then the NAV resorts to using the GPS to monitor your speed. This is why king had to disconnect the GPS antenna, which will work if you also enable the speed pulse generator or disconnect the speed wire altogether, but I do not recommend this solution. The GPS antenna connector is not something you want to mess up and adding a switch or tap to that line could result in weaker GPS signal and poor performance from the NAV when you are not watching a DVD. Also, this will only work if you have the factory RSES package. I am still working on my second mod device to enable the video input all the time on all vehicles but it is second or third on the priority list right now. I am 90% of the way done, just need to do some more testing to confirm and then build a few prototypes.
