No imposition at all. I can't speak for the Metra since I've never seen one installed in person, but it seems like Jumbo would know best since he has both. I've heard mixed reviews about the Scosche, but personally I was able to get mine flush with everything with no gaps, but is sounds like the Metra might be a safer bet.
