Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for your question. My USB port runs my iPod which is what I use for video. The main differences you'll find between the 7100 and 8120 is that the 8120 has integrated BT where you'll pay around $120 for the box for the 7100, the 8120 runs 5.1, has 2 USB inputs, and has a little nicer GUI. I would seriously consider the 8120 in lieu of the 7100 unless the additional features aren't worth, to you, the money you could save with the 7100. I would have gone the 8120 route but it wasn't out yet when I did my install. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE my 7100.
