brad, thanks for the advice, i see what you mean, i bet navigating through the ipod would be much easier than an extrenal hd. so on yoru 7100 and your ipod, you can navigate, play and look through everything right through the head unit and not touching the ipod? i read somewhere that songs are no problem, but if you play videos, you have to start them through the ipod cause apple hasnt supported playing videos outside the unit or something like that. could be a bunch of crap and hope it is, cause that would kinda suck if you had to use the ipod to play things. thanks for the help brad.

Also i see there is a dnx 7120 that i never saw before, are there any differences between this and the 7100? thanks for the help
