Removed mine and did the battery reset, haven't tested for fuel economy improvement yet. The filter will need double sided tape to stay in place again if I need to put it back. Throttle response is marginally improved, and the high idle on start up seems to be diminished a little.

If fuel economy improves I will be doing the same thing to the wife's car. It too has a HC filter in the air box, and it will be coming out if this works on the truck.
