I just returned from my dealer and ended up having to take the service manager for a ride so he could verify the clunk/thud existed. He felt it and was very nice about everything. Luckily I took a copy of the TSB that was posted as the manager told me he hadn’t even received it yet from Toyota. He also told me he had a customer a week or so ago with the same problem and he will be calling him now that he’s aware of the fix. They are ordering the part and I’ll take my truck in to have it replaced as soon as it arrives. Hopefully it will indeed solve the problem.
