Call me crazy but i don't think there should be any slack in a driveline. I've driven chevy/GMC's and they didn't have any. The truck I had before my tundra was a 2001 tacoma and it didn't have driveline slack either. My dealer has ordered the part for mine so hopefully sometime next week it will be in and on my truck. I'm hoping it'll cure the problem.
