[Brian's Toy]

I have a 2007 Corolla CE with a 5 spd. The engine has always been noisy until warmed up in the cold weather, sounds like valve train noise, but goes away after a few minutes of warm up running.

It is now summer time and I still have the engine noise until warmed up, albeit for a shorter time since it warms up quicker in the warm weather.

I noticed the other day, that when the engine is "clacking away" during warm up, if I put it in gear and slowly release the clutch until the engine is loaded a bit the noise stops and starts immediatly again when I press the clutch back in.

Anyone experience this engine noise in thier Corolla???
