Hi Charlie
We went out camping this weekend and I read this thread just before I left but didn't have time to do the mod before we left home. While at the campsite I pulled the filter out and disconnected my battery.

Going home pulling with this truck was an absolute dream!!! I noticed a huge gain in pulling ability at wide open throttle pulling hills. Fuel economy is a little lower than normal pulling my trailer 10.3 MPG vs 11MPG but this was a much tougher trip than normal. My gross weight was 14,124 pounds and there are plenty of 6 - 9% grades to pull where we were camping. The temperature was also 28-30 deg C. I have always been quite satisfied with my mileage but hopefully this will increase it - 22-24 MPG(Imp GAL) when empty on the highway and 11MPG(Imp GAL) when towing my trailer.

I have 19,000 KM on this truck and this is the first time I have reset my computer so I don't know for sure if it is the removal of the HC filter or the reset?

So far I am quite impressed with this mod!
