Re: Happy with Summer Road Trip Mileage!
I have not had my truck for too long, but I got my first tank of over 20 mpg (20.7). I was happy to say the least to be able to pull that off. My mods are magnaflow exhaust, charcoal filter removed, aribox elbow removed, & slightly modified stock airbox. This mpg above was after I unhooked our 6k lb camp trailer that it was getting 9-11 mpg towing. It is kinda funny passing diesels up the grades in a toyota.
All of our other rigs (except the mazda 3) can't get 20mpg so I was quite happy to break that milestone.

05 4 runner 4.7 4x4 - Gone 11/08
08 mazda 3 (cheap commuter for wife)
07 F150 2wd (unreliable company truck=free gas!)
07 tundra 4x4 trd dc 5.7, intake, exhaust, unichip (removed), lt dt headers, self ported tb, custom unichip dyno tune coming soon.
Notable Prior Rigs & What I Have Learned
97 s/c 4x4 v6 tacoma - even a s/c toyota will last a very long time (229k) , great truck sold to friend
03 modded mustang cobra vert - very impressive engine when modded, not a very good chassis, irs sucks
99 modded ls1 t/a - pretty impressive engine when modded, good chassis with minor mods, likes nitrous
96 modded tt mkiv - impressive engine if lots of boost, little power under 4k rpm, don't street race on cold drs (totalled)
05 modded hemi durango - pretty good power, not good offroad, hemi is overrated (would probably lose 0 to 60 to 4.7L 4runner above)
