Yes, I'm having problems with the paint on my 2008 Rav 4 too - mine is chipping and scratching, but not peeling. I have the Pacific Metallic Blue - it's a beautiful color but it chips easily and shows every little mark. Even my fingernails leave marks when I open the driver's door (and I have short nails!). I took the car through a car wash once and it scratched both front doors so now I have to wash it by hand (no pleasant task in the Ohio winter). I'm taking it in to the dealer tomorrow to have the light scratches buffed out and I'm definitely going to complain about the overall paint job. I like the car otherwise, but I'm afraid it'll be a rust-bucket in a few short years.
I'd like to hear from others having this problem, so I have some ammunition when talking with the dealer.
