Default Re: Long turnover?

you said after the new battery it still took 5 seconds to turn over. It sounds like your brushes are dragging and slowing your starter motor down. The increase in voltage from the new battery would speed things up a bit for a while but you still have a problem if it is taking 5 seconds to turn over. Now if your truck is turning over fine but not firing that is not how you described it in the beginning, and that would be either not enough air, (check for blockage and clean air filter) or fuel (check for any leaks and replace fuel filter, poss clogged injector) or spark (hows them new plugs look?). Just trying to help but your not very clear on what it is doing. It's turning over at mach 5 or it's turning over 1 time in 5 seconds? I re-read your post and now I understand what you were saying sorry about that. It sounds like a fuel filter or dirty injectors. I've heard that BMW fuel injector cleaner is the best money can buy, but it is expensive. Good luck, it doesn't sound major.
