I'm interested in this unit for the instantaneous MPG information, along with more accurate RPM and Engine Temp information. For the cost of about 1.5 fill ups, it will help me adjust my driving.
Just doing some local driving adjustment, with no feedback, I've been able to get my average mpg up from the 15 range to the 17 range. Seeing direct feedback for me will hopefully help me continue to adjust my driving habits and style to improve my mpg further, and to know what works and what doesn't work as well.
Yes, I can continue to divide mileage and gallons to get a good idea, but if I want to maximize my fuel usage, then direct feedback on how my driving style is affecting the instant fuel usage is a valuable tool.

Finally filled up the tank today. My commute changed about 2 weeks ago to a 10 mile, 2/3 city drive one way going through a two way tunnel (chokepoint)
. Using the scan guage to keep the gas mileage number maxed as much as possible I got 18.5 on this tank where I would previously get around 16. Without the guage you really cant tell how to modulate the gas to get the max mileage possible. For sure a few more tanks will give me a better idea of the savings potential, but I am very pleased so far. At this rate I will pay for this thing in about 6 months.
