Default Re: Tacoma payload capacity

Dry bag weight, whether 2 or 3 cu mulch bags x 10 bags should not exceed the weight limit of the truck. I get a yard of bulk mulch regularly, sometimes it wet for its been raining non-stop lately. Sometimes it's bottom of the pile stuff (end of season) so its heavier. The bulk stuff is equivilent to 14 bags of 2 cu or 9 bags 3's. Mine does squat a tad, but no bottoming out. (Its a 2006 DC SB w/ TSB).

Prior to having the TSB done, my truck would regularly bottom out with 2 adults & 2 kids & some light stuff in the back. I talked with dealer about it & they suggested the TSB. The truck been fine since (business jobs & trailering) w/ no additional modifications.

Give the ol' customer service number a call if your dealer won't budge or step up.
