Default Re: Sunshade For Side Windows?

Ok I ordered and installed both the pull up shade and the dot matrix on my Sonata. The 47" rear shade fits perfectly in the back, pulls up easily and does a great job of blocking the sun and heat. 2 clips hold it extended and it rolls back in after with no issue.

The static cling was a little more challenge to get it on smooth. I cut it to fit the rear side windows and pressed it on before my 3 day trip with the kids to Hershey. The back of the car was DARK!!! Worked perfectly for what I wanted. NO glare on the TV screens, nice and cool, still able to see out. I was able to roll the side windows down and it did not peel off which was a nice feature.

Combination of my Huper Optik tint and these additions my A/C was on low and actually got too cold for a while where I turned it off. As soon as the doors were opened you knew how hot it actually was in the sun.

I'll try to get pics this weekend and post them up for all to see.

MtTrout-I would get which ever is more convenient for you to use. With the small kids I can say that the static cling left in place is real nice and as they grow have nothing to pull on. You can cut it to fit the wholw window like I did and not worry about sun getting past as you turn etc. If they don't stick well it says just wipe all surfaces clean again and actually place the static shades in the dryer for 2min with a damp towel to recharge.
