I understand where you are coming from, a lot of people that don't have Tacoma's have concern for the SMC bed, all I know is it has held up to one hell of a beating from me so far. I like that it is a bit lighter too, better MPG's because of it I am sure. I am not trying to dish gen 1 Tundra's, they are great trucks in my opinion, I am just saying the Tacoma aint so bad either!

it all comes to personal choice. Mpg is going to be a huge selling point right now with Truck's and personally Tacoma might be the bigger seller so long Tundra MPG is in
