These questions may have been covered, but I can't find them. I'm interested in the unit for a 5.7L only.

The Group buy was for the chip only, not the Flux.
Can the Flux unit be added?
Is the Flux going to be available for the 5.7 at the same time the chip is ready?
If not, when and can it be user added?

They say they have 5 available "map" settings that are user switchable with one being modifiable.
Can this be done without the Flux or bluetooth?
How?
Bluetooth is under development still?
Electro mechanical switch?
Is the EM switch included?
Only 2, "A" and "B" maps or all 5?
If no Flux and no bluetooth yet, no user changeable map, right?
Are they only going to have 1 setting for the 5.7 to start with?

If some or all of this stuff doesn't come with the initial units, is there going to be a charge for the unit to be brought current?

I'm sure I'll think of more...the biggest issue that stopped me from jumping in was I want multiple, user changeable settings and I didn't think unichip's was going to have it. Now, after reading their website, I'm a little confused. I know it's a gas motor, but I want something similar to what I've seen for deisels...Fuel Eco mode, High Altitude mode, Max Power Mode, Max Speed mode, Towing mode, Stock mode, like that for the Tundra.

Yes Flux was available as part of the group buy. They are wrapping up testing of it and it may actually ship with the tuners. Flux uses a PDA as the tuning interface and it communicates via bluetooth. With flux, you get 5 performance maps. You can turn it off and revert to stock. The five maps it comes with is high octane, low octane, valet, immobilizing map (starter kill), and I'm not sure about the last, i think it may be open. You can get each map tuned for your needs like Puddin said he would do. Without Flux, you get two maps, high and low octane. You change via a switch on the unit. Map A and map B (remember which is which, lol). Map and feature updates released by Unichip for Flux users are downloadable and free. If you don't have Flux, you'll have to ship yur unit to Unichip and for $25 they will update it. You can also go to a certified tuner, but it won't be $25. They are only scratching the surface of what the new tuner and Flux unit can actually do. All of the features everyone keeps bringing up like speed limiter removal and shift adjustments are possible with Unichip. They are just trying to do it correctly without leaving a footprint or screwing up any other sensors. Toyota's are very complicated machines with computers and sensors tying everything together in a very cohesive way. Just give Unichip some time and in the meanwhile enjoy all of the added power and torque you'll get. Units ship next week.
