No worries! I started on tirerack.com, but they only have certain brands. Then I checked out AmericasTireCo.com and looked at their tires with ratings and reviews. I stopped in at my local Les Schwab to see and touch the tires for real. Picked up more info from them and researched my options. I read a bunch of threads regarding tires and wheels, then Googled searched as well. Whew! You can easily get buried in information overload! 
Finally I made a decision and pulled the trigger. I guess I'll see if I made a good choice or not.  You can make it as easy or as hard as you want. Good luck with your search!
