This may be all that is wrong here. Relying on canned tunes from small private companies never works because none of them do the R&D needed to make the tune work for all customers (different altitudes, engine wear, temperatures etc). That is not a knock against Unichip, just stating that folks who want to hod rod stuff have to have the means to adjust the air/fuel mix and the rest
themselves, or massive grief can result.
I remember back in the '80s when the original 1227747 ECM was first getting broken and people could tweak the code for the first time. Jobber tunes for this camshaft and that stroker kit
never worked and always had driveability issues. Only the very basic "stage 1 performance chip" type tunes meant to only add a couple degrees spark advance to an otherwise stock engine actually did something without screwing up the driveability to some degree.
