Default Re: Toyota branded tonneau cover???

I discussed this in another thread because I was considering buying one myself. The fact that it is plastic was appealing to me because of previous history with fiberglass units "caving in" and becomming a bird bath when the vehicle was parked.

A buddy of mine has one on his truck and I love the appearance. There is simply no comparison betweeen the finish of this unit compared to a fiberglass unit. Most of the fiberglass units that I have seen have noticeable orange peel in them. Because this one is molded in color, the finish is impecable.

We've taken it off of his truck a few times and I have to say that I love the quick release hinge system. With no tools; you simply remove the two struts, raise the tonneau up to about a 30 degree angle to disengage the hinges, and carry the tonneau away. Installation is just as easy.

But...I am always interested in hearing other peoples experience before I pull the trigger. Does anyone else have one? What are your thoughts? What do you like (or dislike) about it?
