The H1 Hummer, what the military uses is known as one of the best off-road vehicles on the planet. Its rear independent double wishbobe suspension is very similar to what the 2008 Sequoia has. Also ground clearence is measured at the bottom of the differential pumpkin, which on the Sequoia is pushed upward within rear suspension, also very similar to the H1. The only major difference with the H1 is ground clearence which is greater, and no running boards.

Remember that thge sequoia has a 122" wheelbase, much less than a double cab Tundra, so while the Tundra is higher, the sequoia has the same or better off-raod capabilities if you consider the amount of angle at center of vehicle when traveling over rocks.
