Sequoia noise, PLEASE HELP
I have a 2003 Sequoia 2wd Limited with 105,000 miles. It's been pretty bulletproof so far, but we recently start hearing a droning/rubbing type noise that is especially loud between 45 and 50mph. It's not the front bearings or the tires (we have eliminated those 100%).
At slower speeds, it's barely audible (only with windows up and stereo off) and you definitely can't feel it. BUt when you hit around 46mph-49mph, it gets pretty loud and you can feel it in the wheel, brakes, and even in your seat. But it's not overwhelming. If the stereo is on and people talking, unless you were really familiar with the vehicle, you probably won't notice it much.
Under 45 and over 50mph, 90% of the noise/drone goes away.
Temperature and different steering inputs make no difference. GOING IN AND OUT OF OVERDRIVE MAKES NO DIFFERENCE EITHER.
ANY IDEAS???
