I use Mobil 1 synthethic 5W30 on my 04 Camry I4 and my 97 Avalon and both engines are still running strong and smooth. I have them both changed every 5-6K depending on when ever I have time to take it in. The Camry I4 now have over 133K and the Avalon have over 155K so far and both runs like new.

The new Mobil 1 0W30 is now available and I just had that changed last week on both vehicles and the engines seem to like the 0W30 even more than the 5W30. So far, I'm quite impressed with the 0W30 as the engine rev up quicker and seem to give me better gas mileage and runs quieter, too. I guess I will find out once I calculate the mileage driven after two tanks full on both vehicles.

Synthethic oil is the way to go if you want better protection, a little better gas mileage and to some (5-6K for me) longer interval between oil change.
