Default Re: Hard braking/High Effort last 10mph?

Need to get them checked. Sounds like brake fade from either glazed pads/rotors or time to change the brake fluid etc. Brake fluid collects moisture over time and will actually start to boil under the heat from braking adding to brake fade. Pads when they get hot release gases that put an air cushion between them and the rotors also causing brake fade and increased pressure required to stop. This why some go to either slotted or drilled rotors to give those gases somewhere to go.
