Toyota finally called me back 3 weeks after they initially called me to tell me that they don't think the problem is a safety issue and the truck is safe to drive and that there is not fix at this time. I asked, "So now what? I have to drive around with this annoying thud forever?" They basically said they are looking into it and to call back in a couple of weeks.

I hate driving with this thud/clunk sensation. It's driving me crazy to think I spent all this money to have this issue. Makes me wish I would have waited to buy a Chevy 2500 Duramax, just couldn't afford it at the time.

thats funny you mentioned the chevy 2500. my buddy just got a job at the local chevy dealership and i called him today for some info on the 2500 6.0L. he said all they have is duramax right now. anyway he said a guy came in today and traded an 08 tundra reg cab for a new silverado ext cab 4x4. he complained of gas mileage. i pretty sure the reg tundra get better mileage than the chevy 4x4 anyway. he said he got alittle over 20 grand for the tundra on the trade
