I recently got a set of Long Tubes installed on the truck and modified it slightly to enhance the experience.. As all you guys out there who have looked under your trucks know, there are 2 catalitic converters on each pipe aft of the headers manifold bringing the total to 4 cats in the front section. DT's Long Tube headers replaces the 1st set with a pipe leaving us with another set of 2 catalitic converters. I custom made cat pipes to rid me of the 2nd set of cats leaving me with only the rear cats.. Mild steel was used for the conversion (not the best but thats whats available, i might drop them for a set of stainless steel pipes soon but i just wanted to see how effective the mod is at first before spending a fortune).. I also added 1/2 inch spacers on the tubes where the 02 sensors go to avoid the CEL going off however dont take my word as granted as of now because there still is a chance it may light up again.. Ive drove the truck all day after carrying out the mod and till now no CEL (thank god).. hopefully it will stay this way. I will put an update on that ASAP along with some pics!! Lets not talk about the way it sounds now!!!
