Who knows whether they were just full of it or not.. but to have all the local dealerships tell me the same thing made me feel like there must be some truth there. I was also told that when the belt fails, it is most likely to happen in the cold weather....

Besides, these 4.7Ls V8s are interference engines. If time was any issue, I wasn't going to chance it - seems to me that erroring on the safe side made sense... that being said, I did go nine years (took delivery in early Nov 1999)...
