Default Re: 2005 Tundra DC HID Retrofit Progress

Actually I finished it not too long ago. It's not the optitron gauges (although they were nice, I just couldn't get the whole system to work correctly.) I used the stock gauge face, sanded the green film off, and to fix the brightness issue of the Km/h I taped a piece of white paper to the back of the gauge face, worked perfectly. I will buy a face from black cat custom though when it is available. If I were to buy a new Tundra, it would definitely be a Limited Crewmax with the nice gauges, but I plan on keeping this truck a long time, almost paid off

All the interior dash illumination bulbs are now LED's. White for the cluster and climate controls, forest green for the window, steering, radio surround, overhead console, and heated seat switches. I'm really happy how it turned out. I have a friend that put just the replacement LED bulbs in the center console and it didn't turn out as nice as mine. I put individual LED's in each button so everything is bright and evenly lit.

The write up link should work, it's a 27mb file though. What happens when you click on it?
