Default Re: Sun Visor Problem

I was able to repair the visor falling problem. Don't know how long it will last but it's fixable:
Remove the visor from the vehicle.
Carefully remove the shaft from the visor--it's about 4" long.
The shaft appears to be a hollow tube covered with vinyl.
You will probably find a portion of the vinyl worn away near the center of the shaft.
Use 5 minute EPOXY to build that area back up to the level of the vinyl.
After it sets (24 hours or so) carefully file the epoxy level with the vinyl so the shaft will fit back into the visor.
Reinstall the shaft. Reinstall the visor.
If you applied enough epoxy the visor should stay where you want it.
