Talking Quarter Mile time with Supercharger

Well, I went to test and tune again on Friday. It started at 5:30pm, and I showed up at 6:10. Luckily only about 150 cars total. I got in 4 runs within about an hour and a half. Good Traction this day. The truck felt much stronger today, and I think it was since the weather was 63 degrees, and I did not have to sit in the pits for long hours at a time. Now I had just done a exhaust change the day before the last run, and I think that my truck was relearning the setup, cause on Friday, man it felt so much better, and has been each day that I have been driving it. Today I had just under 1/2 a tank of gas, and I left my tailgate at home. I did not ice my intake, or do any other modifications to my truck, just drove it again stock. I was real upset my last times running, cause for some reason the truck just did not feel as fast as it normally did. Here are my new times minus the reaction time, since it plays no part in the 1/4 time, and they all really sucked, since I was more interested in good times than beating the guy next to me.

15.45 at 89.6mph.
Got just a little slip on the launch, but did not feel as strong as I was expecting again. But liked the fact that I ran just a hair faster than the last day at the track.

Hooked up better and felt a little stronger, got some wheel spin again.

Man the truck felt like normal now, or what I am used to on the street. Real happy with this time, just a chirp at the launch and strong pulling.

Perfect launch, no spin at all(different lane this time) truck felt great again. I am sure I got the .1 second improvment off the launch.

Well, got into the 14s in Vegas. Still I was hoping for better, but I am not complaining at all. This equates to about a 14.5 - 14.6 run in Cali. Not bad at all for a 4x4. I wonder if the other guy that got the 14.3 has a 2 wheel drive version. There was a stock 2002 lightning out there also. He ran 3 consecutive 14.3 times or altitude corrected to 13.9 runs. This puts me at right about 5 to 6 car lengths at 90 miles per hour, like when I ran my truck against player19's lightning.

I guess my other day at the track was just a bad day, or who knows, if I got another couple of runs that day, maybe I would have gotten the same times. The truck just felt real slow that day. On Friday my truck felt great.

Well, I know pretty much what my truck will do, but I don't think that I will run it at the tracks again until I run out of warrenty and I slap some nitro on there!
