Take a look at the aiming diagram below. The _/---- cutoffs are the equivalent of the "hot spots" on a halogen setup. I did not have any rotational problems with mounting the projector. The top lip/mount of the projector fits right below one of the "steps" on the halogen reflector. Following that step makes the beam parallel to the ground.
