Ford's had the outboard mounted shocks since '04 though, so they're not really new, regardless of whether they say they are. However, they might have placed them differently BUT they also made the rear leafs longer to improve lateral stability, such as what they did on the Super Duty.
I wish that the interior on our Tundras was much betterbuilt as well. My rearview mirror is rattling now, along with my dash, my seat, and my driver's door. It's driving me up a WALL.
