I would like to do those mods also, but man, really starting to get expensive, and Like I said, I don't think the tranny could handle it. I talked to Level Ten Performance In New York, they are famous for getting regular transmissions to hold incredible levels of power. They said that our trannies are only rated to handle 360lbft of torque, that means even with the second computer for the supercharger that controls the tranny, this thing is at its level right now. they said for $2000 dollars not including shipping they said that they could get this tranny to be able to handle just under 500lbft of torque. Man so $2000 for the tranny, I don't know what else you can do to the rear end, except replace it with a ford or chevy unit beefed up, with new mounts welded on it to make it fit. That would run about $2000, then about $3000 more to the motor. We are talking another $7000 bucks on top of the $5000 that I all ready spent!

Not worth it to me! If this was a 2 wheel drive lowered truck, I might consider it, but as my weekend 4x4, I would kill myself that way. Also I heard that NitrousFed had allready blown one motor and two trannies. Thank him for finding out how much our stuff can handle, but he was making about 500hp when he blew his stuff, and I heard that he got his tranny redone also. Just too much for this truck. My new GMC will be able to handle 500hp and torque all right, and that is going to be my sport lowrider truck. I am going to improve the handling and the braking to great levels, so that I can handle that kind of power, and I can do it for a lot cheaper since the tranny, rear end, and the engine are all ready more stout and stronger than ours. This tranny can handle 460lbs of torque in its stock configurations, and it can handle 600lbs for about $1000 including the labor cost. The rear end you just slap a Girdle on it, throw headers, catback, intake and Magnacharger on it, and walla for under $10,000 including the suspension and lowering kit you got 475 to 500hp, equal torque, and a vehicle that can handle it allready. Not that Toyota isn't great, but I was surprized to see that GM trucks are third in overall quality, who would have thought.

I might be interested about the unichip though, let me know more about this if you can.
