Glad youre ok. I too agree that the owners are the problem. I do believe though that part of the Pits rep comes from the fact that even if a good pit gets hurt and reacts out of instinct (as do humans), the problem with the pits is that they have such a strong jaw/head that they can do alot of damage just by "nipping". I grew up with German Shepard, police dogs...we had to have permission slips from my friends parents for them to be at our house even when the dog was in the garage...but I have pictures of my sister and I crawling all over that dog and he was very gentle with us...that kind of loyalty is a crazy thing, beit humans or dogs.
