Default Re: Get better fuel mileage guaranteed

A lot of these miracle MPG boosters "work" simply by tricking the ECM in running the the engine leaner, thus decreasing overall fuel consumption. I highly doubt your getting any more of an effective burn of the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber - Toyota has done their homework on the 5.7 in terms of cylinder head design to get the most possible mileage and power out of it. There's always room to tweak a little, but there's only so far you can safely go in terms of leaning things out and changing ignition timing to keep things safe for the engine under all operating and load conditions.
