Default AC Light Blinking

Just made the 1400 mile run to the Keys and arrived here yesterday. Tried to use the AC and have a blinking AC light. The air coming through the vents gets warm and we have no cold air. I realize most people do not use AC during the winter but we are going to need it here. No Toyota dealers here that I am aware of so I am asking if anyone has any experience with fixing this problem outside of taking it to a dealer. Also, I do not have my tools with me so if you can provide a list of tools needed to fix this that would help a lot when it comes to begging/buying/borrowing tools.

My internet access here is extremely limited so I will check on line whenever I can.

Thanks for any help or suggestions anyone may have to offer. While I am at it, if there are any TS members here in the Keys drop me a line and let's see if we can all get together for an afternoon of grilling out and talking truck. It would be a family friendly deal.

Trying to keep the family comfortable in the Keys,

19+ MPG on the Highway at 75 MPH in a DC with a four speed automatic and a bad O2 sensor - not too shabby!
