Its just a different way of measuring tires. The 275/70 is considered metric and I believe its called floatation measurement (read standard) or something along those lines when they say 33/12.50, etc. Anyways 275/70/18 like you said is pretty much a 33" tire from most manufacturers, give or take 1/2". But the 275/70 would only be 11" wide where the other one would obviously be 12.5" wide (or 12" in alot of cases). Does that make sense?
